Brilliant place to find books, CD's movies and everything in between. Fair prices and they even buy from you if you're looking to sell.

Where I'm from, there aren't any Half Price Books around, so it was a treat to randomly stop by this location while visiting Tacoma and passing through another shop in the strip mall. It's a pretty extensive bookstore with a solid selection, reasonable prices for used books, and even rare finds. What this place has that a lot of bookstores lack is other forms of used media, including retro gaming and music records. Of course, it wouldn't have as much as an actual vinyl or video game store, but I was pleased with what it did have. In their used CD section, I was able to procure a few great finds for solid bands that I enjoy, at a price I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. The place can be a bit chaotic in terms of organization, but it's easy to navigate. When I'm in the area, I'll definitely return either to this place or other Half Price Book locations.

I went to a half priced books location today for the first time and really enjoyed my visit. This location is near the Tacoma mall located in a strip mall. The store is huge and has a great variety of books, greeting cards, music, video games, and board games. I appreciated the low prices as well, this is a great location to pick out a gift for the book lover in your life.

The staff is warm and friendly and make trading in books and DVDs so easy. There's a great selection of titles as well, and the store layout is strong as well.

Found the perfect Christmas gift for my son! All the products are in great shape and 1/2 the price. The staff were very welcoming and friendly!

Love HPB! Dependable for a good time. Great selection, always some treasures, wonderful people, and a nostalgic atmosphere. Can't go wrong with a trip!

My daughter is an avid reader and we loved this place! Certainly a better bargain than those overpriced bookstores and they have a wide variety of different genres for decent prices. New favorite spot.

Amazing selection of books (and if they don't have the book you want they'll order it!). But I was mostly impressed with their movie collection, specifically the oldies (1925-1960s). They carry certified classics as well as deep cuts. I saw a collector edition of the Marx Brothers and a ton of Abbot and Costello, Metropolis and varied editions of that too! They also carry some dope vinyls. Some modern some old. Lots of really cool figures and manga too. Honestly this place is like Barnes and Noble but better. AND local!

This place always has the book and I'm looking for (and so much more!) if they don't have it they can usually get it within the week. My favor book store since they have such a selection of books, movies, music, crafts, maps, coloring and everything in between. Below is just pay off my latest haul. For less than$20.00!
